Advanced Control Tech’s (www.actmachines.com) new compact desktop CNC machining center, the DMC-III, is intended for light industrial operations, mold making and prototyping. It features a rigid design that enables high precision three-axis machining, with an optional fourth axis. It also features a light-weight brushless motor with spindle speeds ranging from 1,500 to 12,000 rpm. Additionally, it can handle parts up to 12 x 8 x 6-in and provides a repeatability within 0.0001 in.
