Maplesoft Launches MapleSim 5
6. July 2011
Like its predecessors, Maplesoft’s new MapleSim 5 software still helps users develop high-performance simulation models – but with more capabilities and functionalities and over 150 new prebuilt components, this version gets the job done faster.
The software – used by engineers, scientists, and mathematicians – generates model equations, runs simulations, and performs mathematical analyses to create complex product models of such things as automotive systems, aerospace vehicles, robotics, and electronics. With new broader applications, a streamlined modeling environment and the ability to simulate more systems, MapleSim 5 can more effectively and quickly complete large models (preprocessing that used to take several minutes, now takes a matter of seconds).
New features include:
- More components to expand modeling capabilities, including electrical and mechanical options.
- Libraries to model magnetic devices like those found in washing machines and fuel injection systems, and a thermal fluid library to model heat loss in pipes and valves.
- Better diagnostics to help users test, build, and troubleshoot their models.
- Enhanced 3D modeling and simulation.
- Faster simulations and code generation for all models.
- Enhanced toolboxes that make it easy to combine the software with other products already in use.
