DocuLex (www.doculex.com; Winter Haven, FL), a creator of non-proprietary content management software for use with desktop and production document scanners, has released a Web-browser based Archive Studio content management software that aids in the capture and organization of paper and electronic documents. The software is OCR enabled and indexed to sort the files either in their native formats or as PDFs.  Importantly, the software allows for permission-based access to user’s colleagues so users can securely share information with vendors, customers, and business associates, whether they are working in house or remotely. This SharePortalTM feature takes away the pains of ftp sites, faxes and large e-mail transmissions.
