CopyCAD Pro Features New Algorithms, Integrates Parasolid

Delcam’s (delcam.com) latest version of CopyCAD Pro reverse engineering software features new algorithms for surface creation with boundaries or drive curves and new methods for complex part inspection. This version of CopyCAD is also the first to incorporate Parasolid software, a 3D geometric modeling component from Siemens PLM Software. This means it can work as the reverse engineering front end for CAD systems based on Parasolid, which include SolidWorks and Siemens’ Solid Edge and NX, creating a more accurate geometry compared to other reverse engineering systems. CopyCAD Pro also includes “Tribrid Modeling,” which is the addition of triangle modeling to the combination of surface and solid modeling.
