 Ultra-high resolution parts can be produced with a new rapid prototyping material, ABS Simulant Si300 SLA.

Ultra-high resolution parts can be produced with a new rapid prototyping material, ABS Simulant Si300 SLA, from Rapid Prototyping Services (www.rapidprototype.com.au St. Peters, Australia). Said to have properties resembling ABS plastic, parts with layers just 25-µm thick can be produced. In one application, headphones were fabricated with 100-µm layers; no surface finishing was required. Medical device components, product enclosures, and fasteners are other potential applications.
