Programming Machining in CAD

Designing parts is one thing. Manufacturing them is something else entirely. So to facilitate the move from one to the other, CNC Software (mastercam.com) has developed its Windows-based CAM/CAM software and integrated it with SolidWorks (solidworks.com) CAD software.  Called “Mastercam X4 for Solidworks,” the application allows SolidWorks designers to program machining operations right in SolidWorks, taking advantage of Mastercam’s toolpaths and machining strategies (thereby making it easier for designers to do the right thing).
