”RAD” Imaging
Eos Systems has upped the automation with the release of PhotoModeler 6.3.
Eos Systems (Vancover, BC; www.eossystems.com) has upped the automation with the release of PhotoModeler 6.3. The image-based modeling software creates 3D point sets from digital photos, which can be exported to a variety of CAD formats. An additional module, called Ringed Automatically Detected (RAD) Targets, automatically detects and matches points across multiple images from different angles and within photos with busy or visually noisy backgrounds. The module includes 999 different code sets for a range of objects and backgrounds that can be enhanced. The RAD Targets are a free upgrade for existing users of PhotoModeler Scanner, used to create dense surface models, and $395 for existing PhotoModeler users. The bundle with PhotoModeler and RAD Coded Targets sells for $1,295 in the U.S. and Canada.
