Objet’s family of 3-Dimensional Printing Systems brings high-resolution, fine-detailed models into the hands of designers or engineers and fits in any office environment. Objet’s patented PolyJetTM and PolyJet matrix technology provides a complete 3-D printing solution for virtually any rapid prototyping application. Objet Studio Software guarantees that your models are printed smoothly and accurately.

Art Center College of Design is one of the premier design schools anywhere and many of its students rely on additive manufacturing to make the grade.
[Editor’s note: This is a continuation of a series started in the last issue of Time Compression that provides information on the various types of additive manufacturing processes.] Laser sintering (LS) is a process that has grown in popularity for making strong plastic parts.
Additive manufacturing (AM) systems that build parts in photopolymer were among the first to emerge in the late 1980s.

Two newly released rapid prototyping (RP) materials are Objet Geometries’ (Rehovot, Israel) TangoPlus® FullCure 930, a durable rubber-like resin whose elongation at break is more than double other available RP materials on the market, as well as DurusWhite® FullCure430, which offers a Notched Izod Impact of 44. 22 J/m and simulates the mechanical properties of polypropylene. Both materials are available from Design Prototyping Technologies (East Syracuse, NY), which also offers RP and low-volume manufacturing services.
Developments in rapid tooling make this technology even more attractive for quick, low-cost, customizable, and even environmentally aware manufacturing.
Express Pattern Inc. has acquired Objet’s; Rehovot,Israel) PolyJet Matrix™ technology and Connex500™ 3D Printing system. The service provider is now able to create simulated over-molded parts, moveable assemblies, biomedical and translucent models, and living hinges.
